The Bricklayer's Arms pub is a well-known landmark. Park Gate provides additional retail and service options for Locks Heath residents, and its position on the A27 makes it a natural stopping point for those travelling towards Fareham. Brookfield Community School, the main secondary school for the area, is located on the Sarisbury Green side of Park Gate. The housing is a mix of periods, from Victorian and Edwardian properties along the main road to post-war estates further back.
